The automatic chronograph movement is a Rolex-modified El-Primero caliber from Zenith (Caliber Zenith 400) and was used in the Cosmograph Daytona model until the independent development of the Rolex caliber 4130 around the year 2000. After the introduction of the independent Rolex caliber, the 4030 was replaced by the 4130.
