LOCTITE® 221 is a methacrylate-based threadlocker for low-strength connections with small threads up to a maximum of M12. Typical times to achieve handling strength are 25 minutes on steel, 20 minutes on brass and 210 minutes on stainless steel. The low-viscosity product with a breakaway torque of 8.5 Nm is used for threaded connections that must be easy to remove with normal hand tools.
