EC 90 is an aqueous, neutral cleaning concentrate for jewellery and watch parts (cases, straps, clasps, bezels) to remove
polishing pastes and general contamination. Applicable in immersion bath with or without ultrasound for precious
metals, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, aluminium, costume jewellery and jewellery with hard stones.
The cleaning of amorphous and soft stones (e.g. pearls, corals, amber etc.) is recommended with EC 90 in ultrasonic
bath at frequencies ≥ 80 kHz (e.g. Elmasonic P) or in immersion bath. At lower frequencies, ultrasonic damage can
occur!
Safety Recommendations
EC 90 is classified as hazardous according to the regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 [GHS] (serious eye damage, skin
irritant, hazardous to the aquatic environment - chronic category 3).
Observe also with respect to this the hints indicated in the Safety Data Sheet and always handle chemicals with care.
Physical-chemical characterisation
◘ Density: 1.084 g/ml • pH (concentrate): ~8.8 • pH (2 % solution): ~8.0.
◘ Ingredients according to Annex VII A, Regulation (EC) No 648/2004 on detergents:
15-30% anionic surfactants,15-30% non-ionic surfactants, <5% amine-soaps, <5% phosphates,
<5% polycarboxylates, perfumes.
Disposal
The surfactants in our product meet the criteria for biodegradation as laid down in Annex III of the Regulation (EC) No
648/2004 on detergents.
The used cleaning solution can be fed into the public sewage system; observe the local pH limit values and make sure
that the contamination contained in the used cleaning solution complies with the local sewage regulations.
