Product information "Chess Board Mold"
In this stable PVC mold you can cast a decorative looking chessboard yourself using a ceramic casting compound (for example our references 363071 or 363072).
The form contains a relief-like surface with 64 playing fields, which are structured differently and are therefore visually easy to distinguish. It is also possible to design the playing fields in different colours.
The chessboard is characterized by the oversized playing fields in the format 45 x 45mm and was deliberately designed so that the figures cast in the latex chess molds can be used well for playing. (for example our references 336339 or 363070)
These pieces require a larger field area, which is rarely found on standard chessboards.
Material requirements: approx. 4,700g casting compound, for example 363071 or 363072, possibly treat with 363073
Dimensions checkerboard shape: 42 x 42cm
Made in Germany

Chess Piece Casting Set China
€46.99*
The Chinese adopted the game of chess from India and adapted it to their own needs. Therefore, it shows strong influences of Confucianism, which gave the individual game pieces a different, unchangeable ranking. Chess is called Xiangqi in Chinese.
This set of molds consists of eight hard-wearing latex moulds, which have been manufactured in the traditional manual dipping process in the original "dipping latex quality".
The set contains the following forms:
1x king, 1x queen, 1x horse, 1x bishop, 1x rook, 3x pawns (size of the king 105 mm)
The robust molds can be cast with high-quality ceramic casting compounds such as Ceramibeton (e.g. reference 363072) or Ceramistone (reference 363071), but also with polyurethane, polyester or epoxy casting resin (references 361869, 336366 or 202597). When using polyester and epoxy resins, two different surface effects are possible: brush the mold once with mold release agent or sweep it out, then let the release agent dry in it. After pouring in transparent resins and curing, you'll get totally crystal clear looking figures from the molds. Fill the molds directly with the resin mixture without using a release agent. After hardening, remove the frosted, matte-looking figures. This gives you the ability to create two different looking mold surfaces in one mold. With careful handling, more than 80 figures can be cast in one mold.
Contents of the package: 8 latex casting moulds, 1 casting instruction
Important usage notice:
After use, the molds should be carefully washed with soapy water to remove casting compound residues etc. and then dried. They are then thinly coated or powdered on all sides with flowing talcum powder and stored in an airtight, sealable polybag in the dark (without the influence of daylight). This ensures that the molds will last and be used for a long time.
Material requirement: Ceramistone approx. 1,000g (our reference 363071)
Ceramic casting powder Ceramistone classic white - 2.5kg
€27.99*
Ceramistone is a white, plastic-stabilized, mineral polymer molding compound with unique physical properties and particularly good flowability. This creates white impression models with an exceptionally brilliant surface and a pleasant feel.
After mixing with water, the extra finely ground powder component provides a universally usable casting compound that can be poured, brushed and spatulated, which is particularly well suited for shaping complicated surface structures for reliefs, jewelery and precision models. Due to its extraordinarily good flow properties, Ceramistone is also predestined for pouring out latex and silicone molds. (For example our chess pieces mold sets)
This results in fantastic-looking decorative and functional parts that can also be used outdoors (not frost-resistant), e.g. for filigree decorative, Christmas tree, key and jewelery pendants, brooches, decorative borders, decorative plates, tiles, door signs, dials, coasters, lamp bases, reliefs and fully plastic sculptures.
Age recommendation: from 4 years under adult supervision
Mixing ratio: 1:4 (water / powder)
200 g water and 800 g Ceramistone result in a filling volume of 600 ml.
Stir time: 30 seconds
Processing time: 8-10 minutes
Curing time: approx. 30 minutes
Hardness after 60 minutes: 240 N/mm²
Hardness after 24 hours: 300 N/mm²
Compressive strength: 50 N/m²
Temperature resistant: up to 80° C
Ceramistone is free of harmful substances and labeling.

Fine concrete Ceramibeton ivory - 2.5kg
€19.99*
Ceramibeton is a high-quality concrete composition of the latest generation, in which many previously known properties are completely different, which you will notice immediately after mixing this material composition for the first time.
Ceramibeton consists of finely ground ceramics, sand, fast-hardening Portland cement and various derivatives. What is striking about this material is the light colour, micro-fine grain size of Ø 0.7mm and short curing time and the associated, sophisticated applications of this material, which ensure that the objects made from it are even harder and more stable.
Due to its fineness and composition, the concrete develops a light ivory-colored appearance after hardening, which, combined with a pleasant feel, gives the cast parts made from it an exceptionally beautiful appearance. This results in fantastic design possibilities:
- Tiles and concrete slabs
- Flower bowls and pots
- Candlesticks and lamp bases
- Reliefs and sculptures
- Jewelery and filigree parts
These are all valuable works of art and objects of daily use that are unique thanks to this special concrete.
Age recommendation: from 8 years under adult supervision
Mixing ratio: 1:4 (water / powder)
Processing time: approx. 15 to 30 minutes
Coloring option with iron oxide pigments
Curing time: open molds approx. 4 to 6 hours; Latex or silicone molds approx. > 8 hours.
Hardness after 24 hours: 300 N/mm²
Mechanical reworking possible immediately after demoulding by drilling, sawing, carving, filing, milling and grinding
Compressive strength: 75 N/m²
Temperature resistant up to 90° C
Important: Due to the small amount of water that this concrete requires, the first impression after mixing is that the mixture is too dry. Therefore, let them pre-react for 3 minutes and then mix them again. You will be amazed to find that the expected concrete mash has emerged from the seemingly dry mass.
CLP classification Labeling required - Danger - contains Portland cement.

Gypsum and concrete primer 100ml
€6.99*
If the shapes cast with Ceramistone (Reference 363071) or fine concrete (Reference 363072) (e.g. chess board or chess pieces) are to be painted or the squares in the chess field are to be colored, for example, it is advantageous to coat the cast part once with plaster and concrete primer. Then any color or glaze can be used for the color treatment.
Because gypsum, cement, ceramic and concrete surfaces have open surfaces with small holes (fissures, etc.) after hardening, they must be thinly coated with this transparent primer. The primer dries solid within 20 to 30 minutes.
The object can then be coated and further processed with all water-soluble, oil- and solvent-based paints, glazes, lacquers, stains, patinas and adhesives. The primer also prevents the colors in the material surface from becoming blurred.
The product is free of solvents, harmful substances and labeling.
Made in Germany.
Brush cleaning with water.
A little tip: This article can also be used very well as a varnish for painted stones!
