The Messerschmitt Bf 110 C-4 was a twin-engined low-wing monoplane manufactured entirely from aluminum aircraft sheet metal under the direction of Messerschmitt Flugzeugwerke. The Sturmvogel was manufactured in 1940/41 at the Gotha, Braunschweig and Bremen sites. A total of 155 of this type of aircraft were built. The aircraft was initially designed for two crew members as a long-distance escort fighter, with a third person later added for requirements such as reconnaissance. The Messerschmitt Bf110 pilot's watch pays homage to the engineering skills of the time. Airplanes were already being built from the light metal aluminum 80 years ago.
